As the name hints, Lumber’s Bartholomew Navy Strength gin is a powerfully alcoholic expression of the juniper-informed spirit. Based on their popular Country Garden Gin, this clocks in at 58 percent alcohol by volume. The taste starts with piney juniper on the nose and is closely followed by bright and zesty citrus on the palate. Juniper and subtle floral notes also stand out. The finish is long and light with pepper and bright citrus. The overall mouthfeel is smooth and instantly recognisable as a navy strength, whilst not being at all harsh at the higher ABV.
